My Project

Victor Hugo in his famous book Les Misérables explained most eloquently the essence of our project, " Proper distribution does not imply an equal share but an equitable share..." In our search to create equity in the learning environment, we look for every way possible to allow all learners to express themselves and manipulate the language. Design is one way that our learners with differences can express themselves with equity.

With the Cricut machine, the Silhouette machine, and the Heat Press, they can design using Canva, Adobe, etc, and create a clothing line as a product after the Clothing unit, a City in 3D after the Environment and Transportation Unit, etc.

With your help, all learners will find a way through inquiry to express what they learned and move from consumers to creators of content. And as Hugo said, "Equity is the essence of equality" and we want all of our learners to confidently feel powerful and thrive.

Ms. Nakou Bunche Middle School Grades 6-8
