My Project

Students in our small, rural K-12 school have seen exciting innovative technology on television and social media but do not have access to it in real life. This project's goal is to get access to some of those technologies for all of our students. We are asking for supplies and machines to incorporate physical computing into our computer science classrooms, 3D printing into our art, science, computer science, agriculture, and graphic design classrooms, and laser engraving and cutting into our business, marketing, art, graphic design, and science classrooms.

With the materials requested in this project, we will be able to allow our students to explore careers they have not even dreamed of, incorporate hands-on learning more frequently into classrooms, and engage students that struggle in traditional classrooms.

These machines are one of the first steps towards creating a makers' space for our students. The ultimate goal is to have an open place for students of all ages to create, experiment, and imagine with a variety of tools and resources.
