My Students

We would love to read and listen to books in a new way. An iPod would allow my students to make connections to new opportunities in learning.

I teach twenty-one second graders in a small, rural community.

Since we are a small, rural community, it is difficult to receive materials beyond the basic necessities for our classroom. For the last three years, we have had a zero-base budget. This means our class only receives the bare necessities to function as a class.

My Project

An iPod Touch will expand the classroom walls. It will allow us to use podcasts, audio files, and text files in the curriculum. It's not just about telling--it's about teaching, participating, collaborating, and engaging a team of students to learn in a creative way.
