Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Students in Mrs. Aurich's and Mr. Thornton's class stand out from the rest. We are lucky to have classrooms filled with hardworking, kind, and helpful students. They show this daily throughout their interactions with both students and teachers alike.
Students in our classes produce quality work and treat others with respect and care.
Projects and tests are completed with the utmost care with students diligently working with the time they are afforded. Other teachers and school staff consistently compliment our classes regarding their kindness and thoughtful actions and words.
Mrs. Aurich and Mr. Thornton set the standards high of what we expect to see from their students. Our classes arrive to school ready to work hard with the desire to treat others well. The work ethic and kind demeanor of our students help our students look brilliant.
My Project
The technology currently in our classrooms is outdated. This creates additional challenges for students who already struggle given minimal resources. Funding this project will create equity for two classes of hard working and kind students.
We believe the students in our classes will benefit from this technology especially given the school's demographic of ESL, special education, and struggling students alike.
These Chromebooks will be used daily on learning software to reinforce and extend reading, math, and science content. With this newer technology, students will create engaging and immersive digital projects to assist them in competing with the current S.T.E.M./S.T.E.A.M. driven educational pathway.
