My Students

My students are excited to begin an ART club at DMS. We have nothing to start with and are in need of everything to create projects.

My students are committed to staying after school to learn about different techniques used to create all types of art work.

They are ready to have a place to experiment with mixed media, abstract, paint, paper machê, sketching, and anything else they can dream up.

We are planning to decorate our hallways and other public spaces with our work. Help us make it happen!

My Project

My students will be able to use these materials to not only create interesting artwork, but to learn that they may excel somewhere outside the classroom. We will be learning how to use watercolors correctly, how to shape objects using clay, and we will be making banners, signs and flyers for school events. It is important for my kids to experience art, as many of them have not yet had the opportunity.

I plan to display our Art Club projects throughout the school so that the students that created them can feel proud.

I also hope to create a sense of pride in the faculty, staff, and other students.
