Our class is rising to the top! We've progressed so much over the last year, and our looking for new opportunities to challenge ourselves. I currently teach 4th grade special ed, and I have 10 students at present that have all worked really hard this year. Our school is in NY. We have a lot of trouble getting supplies in our school because of the economy, hence this proposal.

Our inkwell's running dry! We're buying new cartridges every couple of weeks, and we're having trouble keeping up with the wealth of work our students are doing. Cartridges are quite expensive, and my students would love the opportunity to show off the great work they are doing in the room for visitors, and on the bulletin boards around the school. We also want to do a very special social studies project, comparing the New York of today to colonial New York.

For our social studies project we'll need lots ink to create maps, print out research, make charts, and create student reports of observations about the NY of now, and the NY of the past. I think that our students will benefit greatly from knowing not only how their state came to be, but also how and when their ancestors came to this country.

Our students should have a chance to demonstrate their knowledge. The supplies that you donate will help our students to take pride in the learning that they have done by giving them the ability to share it with the school and with visitors. Such opportunities to share and be proud of their work will further encourage them to learn, to want to excel. Please help us to fuel this desire! Thank you in advance, for helping to look after our children.
