My Project

My amazing homeschool students walk into my classroom each day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store. My students attend an Independent Study Charter School where they receive an incredible education both at home and in the classroom. I specifically teach students in third, fourth, and fifth grade. Because of our unique hybrid model, students value the time they do have on campus, especially when they enroll in my Author's Club class!

In a world where every student’s story matters, the Illustory Create-Your-Own-Book kits will turn their dreams into reality.

These kits will provide my students with the tools to write, illustrate, and publish their own stories, fostering a deeper understanding of storytelling elements. Engaging in this hands-on project will enhance their writing skills and build confidence as they share their unique voices.

My goal is to guide each student through the entire book creation process, from brainstorming to publishing, culminating in a classroom filled with proud young authors. This experience will inspire a love for storytelling and encourage collaboration, allowing them to express themselves in meaningful ways.
