This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Have you ever done great, creative work on the computer, then gone to print it and find that there's no ink?

My students are bright and creative and have solid, creative computer skills.

They design signs to notify other students of school activities, they design t-shirts for class projects, they write papers and essays that include photos, they create class year books and hang photos of our successful school programs.

My Project

However, after my students complete these beautiful projects, there is nowhere to print them so that they can show them off, except the plain, boring black and white printers. I have the color printer a 12 year old, but still functioning HP photosmart 1315, but the ink is expensive and although I have often replaced it myself, it has become to costly for me to keep up with their needs.

Without the ink for this printer, my students are not only unable to display their work, but the signs and reminders and reviews of our activities that they create, cannot be hung in an eye-catching manner, nor can their t-shirt designs ever come to fruition.
