My Students

Our students come to me daily to print their work for one class or another. Our school has printers that the teachers share, but we are running out of ink and our budget has been cut again this year. Teachers and students will all benefit if we can get our printers running again. Thank you!

We are a middle school in New York.

We are a Title I school (high poverty) made up mostly of students of West Indian descent. We have many immigrants from Haiti, Jamaica, Trinidad and Guyana. Most do not have printers at home and I hate to tell them that they cannot use the school printers to print their work.

My Project

I realize that printer ink is not a "sexy" request, but it is vital to helping our students submit their work. It really is something that students and teachers in our school need and will use throughout the year. The ink would be shared among at least six teachers who teach several classes each, so your gift will impact hundreds of students. What could be more rewarding than that?

Just imagine the frustration of a student who does their work and then cannot print it out because the school printers are out of ink.

We encourage students to use a printer at home, at the library or at a friend's house, but many just don't have access to a working printer. Many of us who are more fortunate take such resources for granted. Thank you for considering a donation to help our school.
