My Project

My English language learners with special needs participate in a full-time, community-based worksite. Throughout the school day, they engage in a combination of functional academics and hands-on vocational training opportunities by completing various jobs throughout their worksite campus. Due to their limited English language skills and cognitive abilities, my students require additional supports to participate in their worksite internship program. In addition to staff support and prompting, these supports often include visuals, worksheets, checklists, graphic organizers, and similar materials. We often print out these resources and guides so that students can engage and focus more easily on their tasks. However, with the school year now half-way through, we are quickly running out of ink! We need replacement cartridges to continue providing our students with these printed materials!

Supporting this project would mean providing us with a supply of ink so that students can have access to these hand-outs, worksheets, checklists, delivery logs, and graphic organizers needed preform their daily vocational jobs and academic tasks.

Additionally, the ink and presentation supplies will help us to showcase students' work and vocational training program for our school's annual Internship Fair. With these supplies, we will be able to create a class display, complete with printed photographs, poster boards, and brochures for other students, parents, and community members to see and learn about our unique work-based learning program experience!
