Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a lovely classroom of 25 curious and creative second grade students! They love art and express themselves creatively through a variety of mediums such as drawing, painting, and writing. As I understand the importance social emotional lessons, cognitive development, and cultural awareness art has in develop these young minds- I do my best to purposefully incorporate into our curriculum.

The addition of a high quality pencil sharpener will facilitate student's ability to use colored pencils such as their skin colored pencils to represent various skin tones in their artwork.

Additionally, the toner will provide my students access to an in-class printer I can use to print their writing and images they can use to enhance their project.
