Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work at an all special education high school in New York City. The students we serve have a variety of abilities and disabilities and come from all different backgrounds and cultures. Many of the tasks require worksheets to monitor student progress and we regularly do not have enough supplies to get done what is needed.

None of our students are on a college path and many of them will end up at home with family or in day-habilitation programs.

It is our job to provide opportunities for them to grow as individuals and foster greater independence as they prepare to transition out of high school. Please support our students!
