Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten students are eager, energetic, and enthusiastic learners. My class is primarily composed of second language learners who love math, singing, art, reading, writing, learning about robotics, and experimenting with science. We have so much to learn and love in Kindergarten!

All of the students in my class have many different learning modalities and one thing that unifies them is that they LOVE coming to school through the use of technology.

I can reach out to them, help them and see them in small groups with the use of a new iPad!

My Project

Learning at home is a struggle for many students and teachers, often times we can not how the website is designed for the student. With your donation I can use an iPad in a variety of different ways. One very important way I can use the iPad is during small breakout rooms. I can not see how the students are doing unless I am in the breakout room as well, and using this iPad I can monitor the students through a different device while still using my laptop to monitor the rest.

Another way I can use the iPad is, it will allow me to download the software necessary teach, show and demonstrate how to code.

Our teacher laptops are outdated and most of my little ones are visual learners, installing the software on this iPad will allow me to use the Dash robots we have in class so they can become early computer scientists!

We also can use it to show a second visual to show parents how to navigate through websites, google documents, google classroom, zoom links and much more. As I use my laptop for a zoom conference I can also use the iPad for these resources.
