Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I have a wonderful group of sixth grade students, who come from very diverse backgrounds. Some have lived most of their lives in the U.S., while others are new to this country. Regardless of their country of origin, each individual child shares the joy and passion of learning!
They are excited to learn about recent discoveries in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
As a small media magnet, the funding for new technology in the class room is just not available.
Due to the Covid 19 virus, the need to keep students engaged in class has never been greater.
My Project
Desperate teacher and students in need!
Help!
Our classroom ipad is broken and we used it every day to watch exciting science videos, learn new math skills, and study current social justice issues.
Our classroom is all about excitement and activity. My students come from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. They will use this ipad to share their experiences and knowledge with each other. Examples include "all about me" activities and "my show and tell related to science," all through the lense of racial equity.
We love to learn by doing, including using this ipad to share our work with the whole class. Think of how fun it will be for us to use digital math tiles instead of just writing with pencil and paper.
Students will use this ipad to project their classwork so other students can see it. This includes their science artwork, math models, and example math problems.
Thank you for your generous support! We appreciate you!
