My Students

Think back to the last time you had to work in a group.... Did you take on different roles? Did you have a strategy for getting the work done? What materials did you need/use to accomplish your task? Did you use a paper and pen or did you need a computer?

My students love to learn, and they tend to learn best when they are engaged with each other and have some "new" technology to help their creative process.

With all of the upcoming projects we do in third grade, having the ability to research important topics and information at a moments notice is a much needed commodity.

My Project

With this iPad, my students will be able to work collaboratively to research different social studies and science topics, while also using specific education apps to enhance their literacy and math skills. This will also provide more of my students to use technology on a consistent basis, whether it's done individually or through group work.

In order to be competitive in today's world (both in and out of school), students need to develop the skills to work with others to complete a task and also an understanding of how technology can be used to transform ideas and create a finished product.

This project will absolutely succeed in developing all of these skills in each of my students.
