This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Have you ever been asked to repeat what you just said and forgot? Or have you been asked to speak louder only to be told not to yell? Students who are still learning how to use their voice correctly, deal with these challenges in a classroom every day. Our little friends who are soft-spoken are asked constantly to speak up beyond their comfort level. In a music room, it is my job to make sure all students are comfortable with their voices. But, in a large room, these growing voices can get lost in the white noise of a classroom.

So, what happens when you combine a ball and a microphone all in one- QBall happens!

This piece of technology is kickball size that has a wireless microphone inside of it. Instead of constantly being asked to speak up or repeat themselves, the QBall is designed to be thrown from person to person! Not only giving every student their voice back, but adding a fun engaging game of catch.
