Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Now that my first classroom has been set up and we have added many more high interest books to our library, I would like to get some "fun" things! My students have been asking for more games to play when we have indoor recess and choice time. In addition, we have a ticket system in our classroom, in which students earn tickets for good behavior. My class has been asking to use their tickets to buy small prizes.

I would like to give my students more options for indoor activities, as well as the chance to reward their awesome behavior with small prizes, like they have requested.

My students are wonderful, and I want to make their 4th grade experience even better. I have seen how motivated they get just for the chance to earn a sticker, so I know they will be thrilled to get a fun pencil, silly eraser, or cool fidget!

My class loves the big sunflower pillow I bought us for our Peace Place, so I am adding a few more of those to this project as well as a storage basket for them. Students will be able to use these pillows for flexible seating on the carpet or as a cushion on their chair.

As we near the end of the year, I am working hard to support my students' growth. All of my students began the school year under grade level, and we are working every day to improve our reading and writing, grow our problem-solving capabilities and independence, and develop strong social emotional skills. I know this will provide a morale boost to my students and we finish off the year strong! Thank you for considering donating to this project!
