My Students

Hello everyone,

My students are a joyful, energetic, and curious bunch of bees that are eager to learn and explore.

They demonstrate curiosity as learners through their engagement and participation in classroom centers. In our classroom we work on many different things like, social emotional development, phonics, mathematics, and reading. Over this school year our classroom became a community where my students feel comfortable and safe to express themselves, their interests, and ideas.

Majority of my students come from low socioeconomic families and don't have many resources available to them outside of the school setting. For me as an educator it is essential and my goal to provide my students with various manipulatives, books, and materials that will allow them to continue to express themselves freely within the classroom setting.

In our school we have two Pre-k classrooms and both myself and the other teacher collaborate closely together in creating the best learning space we can for our students.

My Project

As we approach the 2020-2021 school year, there is much uncertainty and confusion. Questions like “will we continue to teach remotely?” “Will we be introduced to a blended model of learning?” Regardless of the decision made by officials, I will continue to provide the best and utmost lessons to my students. Given the new guidelines and regulations from the CDC and Health officials I want to make sure that my students are learning in a safe, comfortable and supported classroom. With that said I am looking to provide my students for this coming school year with a supply bin that will allow them to have their own individualized supplies to use in and out of the classroom. Supplies such as pencils, crayons, markers, glue and more. In addition to providing my students with workbooks to target Prekindergarten standards in teaching them letter and number recognition, letter sounds, and prepare them for Kindergarten. Please help me give my students the essential supplies for this school so that we can learn safely.
