My Students

As an educator in an under privileged public urban school, it is incumbent upon me to rise to the challenge in order to develop, foster and maintain high expectation and achievement among my students. 98% of the students receive free school lunch.

My students love exploring the world around them and are hungry for learning new things.

The idea for this project was from a student who asked, "When will I read?' This grant will make this happen. The students come from various cultural and socioeconomic background.

My Project

Elementary education is the blue print upon which all other aspect of education is to be built. Having an iPad in my classroom will enable my students to have 1:1 exposure to literature. Additionally, this will spark students' curiosity.

By donating to our project, you will be helping the English Language Learners to increase their oral language and reading skills.

Interactive technology in the classroom will enhance the students chances of becoming literate and bringing equity among students.

Utilizing technology will improve the students' chances of staying engaged. An iPad in the reading center exposes students to materials that are at their developmental and specific reading levesl.
