My Students

Imagine being a five year old in a class with 17 other five year-olds, all waiting their turn to see the television screen and get a chance to come up and use an expo marker to write on the text displayed; that's our interactive classroom as it stands.

I have a diverse group of learners.

They come from all different backgrounds and ethnicity's. We are a newer school with a beautiful building, but very little technology. Our state and school district are struggling to find funds to provide the technology students need in the classroom.

My Project

A projector in my hands will turn our texts into interactive learning experiences all can enjoy, be engaged, and learn. Paired with the MacBook and iPad I already own, the projector will make every student feel as though they are in the front row. Students will be able to manipulate the screen being projected from the iPad, turning our classroom into an interactive experience. No longer will they struggle to see, struggle to walk through a crowd to reach the television, students will merely pass the iPad. Our classroom will become the 21st century classroom my students need.

All of our Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies texts are available online, in interactive lessons.

I want to provide my students with all they need to be successful, active learners.
