My Students

Our school corporation is a rural district, trying to equip our students with the skills and experiences to be successful in our ever-changing world. I have the privilege to teach a multi-age second and third grade class. I love teaching literacy, problem-solving, and thinking skills!

My second and third graders are naturally curious, and I want to help support them as they collaborate and learn creatively!

As their teacher, it is my goal to create opportunities to make them curious about the world around them. My goal is to empower them to ask questions and find answers. My students deserve it!

My Project

I am requesting hands on math materials for my students to use while learning about place value and decimals. The kit has individual pieces so students can learn and explore by using their own separate bags.

The students would be able to make and model numbers so they can read, write, and show the numbers in expanded form.

These tiles would be used in school, but also at home. Students learn more by being able to see, move, discover, and explore. I love that these tiles can be used by each child and then stored instead of shared.
