My Students

The students in my classroom are a very diverse group. They range from children of low-income families to children of families with high-end luxury vehicles. There are students whose families don't speak English, students whose parents hold multiple college degrees and others with parents who may have only earned a GED.

The thing I love the most about teaching kindergarten is that despite the background they come from, all children have a pure curiosity and eagerness to learn.

There is so much about the world that they don't know and they want to know it all. By exposing my students to different opportunities, it is my hope that they cement that desire to learn so that it never leaves them.

My Project

With the upcoming hybrid model, the CDC has recommended we limit the sharing of materials in classrooms. Just about everything we do in kindergarten is hands-on, so this will be difficult to achieve without some additional supplies.

The items contained in this project will allow me to provide each student with their own set of math manipulatives, as well as some much needed organization to help them keep track of it all!

Please help me ensure that learning stays hands-on for our littlest learners amidst the chaos of this pandemic.
