My Students

I teach the most amazing fifth graders you could ask for. We work together in groups or as a whole making our class a team. This brings more engagement and enthusiasm from them. They feel like they have a say in what goes on in the classroom because they have been able to make decisions on classroom rules, rewards, daily activities, etc. They come to school every day excited to learn and excited to know that their opinion matters. We go to a wonderful school that supports students and their learning. My students love to be able to move and sit around the room to work with their fellow peers.

They are an inspiration to me and their classmates.

There is a buzz about flexible community learning in our classroom. Students are provided with many opportunities to discuss what they are learning in small groups, large groups, and with a buddy. The more flexible seating there is available for students, the greater the buzz becomes.

My Project

The resources that I have requested will help my students in the classroom greatly. The headphones will let the students listen on the computer especially when we get into our novel studies. I like the students to be able to listen to the novel being read to them while they follow along and having a great pair of headphones will work perfectly for that. The classroom supplies make it easier on the students so they don't have to share materials and don't have to use used old materials from years past.
