This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students in my class come from diverse cultural backgrounds, with more than half of them being English Language Learners. As a first year teacher during distance learning, having a kindergarten class, I strive to provide them with the necessities they will need to learn and to equip them with manipulatives and tools so that they may be able to have access in the classroom. With these supplies, I will strive to give them the best education they deserve. My students are all unique, diverse learners and as kindergartners beginning their very first year of school, I strive to provide them with all the supplies they need for learning.

My Project

As a first year teacher in these unprecedented times we are facing, it is my goal to meet the needs of all of my students. As we prepare to go back to on-site learning at school in the classroom, I would like to prepare these fun-looking pizza boxes as themed individual learning kits for my amazing kindergarteners and their safety.

They will all have the same materials in their individual learning kits (pizza boxes), which include double-sided whiteboards and markers that will help with math and writing lessons, 2 pencils, 1 sharpener, and a box of crayons, that will help keep them organized and safe all while being provided with the basic needs for learning.

It is important for them to understand that they will have to keep their own materials to themselves and not be able to share, so having these pizza box themed learning kits, with their needed daily materials included, will keep it fun but safe for them. Please help me in making his happen for them! :)
