Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Phonics, word recognition, phonemic awareness,and writing activities will develop independent readers and writers.

I have 25 wonderful, curious, bright, and energetic first grade students.

All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. They are English Language Learners and come from Spanish speaking homes. They are very highly motivated to learn English. They enjoy reading, writing with pattern sentences, and mathematics.

My Project

My students need phonics, oral language, phonemic awareness, word recognition, and writing resources to reinforce and enrich the students' learning experiences in reading and writing. During Universal Access Time (small group center time), the students will practice literacy skills and penmanship.

Please help my first grade students reach their reading and writing potential.

These resources will motivate my students to read and write independently and to become a lifelong successful reader and writer.
