My Project

Please help my students gain access to engaging reading comprehension activities to use as independent work. As a special education teacher, I teach students with a variety of disabilities that impact their ability to meaningfully comprehend what they are reading. Independent work teaches my students to take accountability for their learning, all while reinforcing their reading comprehension skills.

My students thrive in learning environments that encourage independence and hands-on instruction.

Providing opportunities for high-interest learning helps my students in special education grow to be more invested and inquisitive learners.

At our city school, we have limited access to high-quality resources. The help of our community is imperative in providing our students with the tools they need to be successful. In our classroom, students have kinesthetic opportunities for learning in whole group, small group, and independent work settings. These reading comprehension activities will provide my students with high-interest ways to build on challenging reading skills.
