Did you know that children start reading in Kindergarten? This is why it is so important to build a love for books and reading at this young age.
By providing my students with a classroom library full of books that are at their level, my students will be able to independently read.
Creating a classroom environment in which students feel successful will encourage them to read more. Also, by filling my classroom library with books suitable to them, I will be able to send books home for them to read with their families on a rotating basis. It is my hope that when each child leaves my classroom, they will have found something that they love to read.
