My Project

Students at KAN read books of their choice every day. We have seen growth in test scores and an increase in interest after finding kids books that they love. A love of literature can open up a world of opportunities for so many kids, and we want them to have choice in what they read! There is nothing more exciting than talking with a kid about a book that they love. Students are competing to become millionaires, meaning that they read 1,000,000 words during the year. We already have an 8th grade with over 700,000 words and it's only September! Students have already requested so many books that our budged has dwindled. Help us to give them options and create lifelong readers!
