Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a proud teacher of 14 energetic, curious and talented kindergarten, first and second graders. I teach students on the Autism Spectrum Disorder. The best way that they learn is by visualizing, and technology is a great tool that I use in class. Technology plays a huge role in education and not all of my students are able to have access to computers in school or at home. They are fascinated by books, and they enjoy listening to different words. I would love to give them the gift of literacy with a new iPad for an improved listening station.

My Project

The use of the iPads (and cases) will afford my students the ability to access books and other literacy tools in a new and improved reading station for my classroom. The iPads will afford my students the opportunity to have easy access to a multitude of books and audiobooks while they are using the reading stations.

My students thrive while using digital tools such as the iPad and other electronic mediums to access their education.

They enjoy using these portable devices to access reading and listening materials anywhere in the school. The use of these devices also gives my students improved responsibility and maturity, as they treat these items with respect in order to keep using them throughout the year. I can't wait to see what adventures my students will go on with the help of these tools!
