I love teaching 1st grade! My room is full of kind, caring, creative, curious, and eager learners. They are fearless and eager when it comes to technology and, as children of the 21st century, they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage in their world.
These students want to learn and are happy to be at school.
We are a neighborhood school where families play an active part in the learning environment. Our goal is to raise productive citizens that love learning and want to make a positive impact where they reside.
My Project
Students will be able to use the Kindle Fire Tablets and the wireless mice to create an awareness of technology that they are required to utilize during testing and daily centers. Students will gain the skills and knowledge to become successful and proficient at the different tasks on the computer and tablets that will enhance their learning.
Students are so eager to practice and engage in technology in 1st grade but need more flexibility than a desktop can provide.
First graders oftentimes need more practice with the manipulation of the technology. The wireless mouse will allow them to do that. The Kindle Fires will give them access to flexible seating while learning on devices and programs geared toward their needs.
