My Students

My students are all multisensory learners who see the world by using technology, manipulatives, and sensory exploration tools to engage them in their learning

I provide occupational therapy services in a D75 school and currently serve 18 students that range from K-6.

Many of my students have developmental delays, motor delays, and Autism Spectrum disorder. Many of my students cannot verbally express how they feel, while others are understood in context, all my students can benefit from tactile and visual illustrations to express how they feel through the use of technology.

My Project

There is a need to have technology in the classroom and to integrate technology during therapy sessions. During remote learning, technology was an integral part of continuing student’s learning. My students in particular have increased their knowledge on navigating the many learning platforms they had to login to. Now that we are back in the classroom, I intend on offering many opportunities to integrate technology in every session and lesson. My students are notably more focused, more engaging and enthusiastic when there is an option to use technology. I have been able to demonstrate various fine motor activities and sensory strategies to help my students meet their goals through the use of technology.

Please help my students become successful in their learning with easy access to technology.

With an iPad in the classroom, I can better support my students with lessons and instructions that are meaningful, engaging and fun during their sessions.
