My Students

Help my scholars experience education through the use of the latest technologies!

My school is a Title One school, where the majority of my scholars receive free lunch.

Many of my scholars come from families that struggle financially. Although there are hardships, every day my scholars come in with a smile and an attitude ready to learn. Their genuine love for learning and curiosity gets them excited. I would like to expose my scholars to the technologies that they may not be able to experience at home. My goal is to show that learning is fun.

My Project

In a classroom with a range of learning profiles, an iPad and headphones will be utilized to design multi-modal learning opportunities for my scholars. There are so many different forms of assistive technologies that are available on the iPad apps that my scholars can benefit from. The headphones will allow students to use the iPad as a form of listening center with apps such as Storia. My scholars who have difficulty reading at grade level, and need assistance with phonics skills will use apps such as iSpeech, which has text to speech capability.

Your donations will allow my scholars to experience the meaning of multi-modal learning.
