My Project

At HES, we are fortunate to work with an amazing group of pre-K and kindergarten students. What stands out about these students is not only their curiosity and eagerness to learn but also their unique needs, as they are part of our special education inclusion program.

The specific items we are requesting will have a profound impact on our students' learning and inclusion experience.

Diapers and wipes may not seem like traditional educational resources, but for our students who are still in the process of potty training or have particular toileting needs, these items are essential. By providing a comfortable and clean environment, we remove any barriers that might otherwise hinder their focus and participation in learning activities.

The Diaper Genie and refill are equally crucial in maintaining a hygienic and odor-free space. These items not only promote a pleasant learning environment for all students but also ensure the dignity and well-being of those who require special assistance in managing their personal care.

Our goals for this project extend beyond the immediate needs of our students. We aim to foster a sense of belonging and acceptance, creating an inclusive classroom that celebrates diversity and respects the individuality of every student. By removing any potential stigmatization associated with personal care needs, we create an atmosphere where students can focus on their academic growth and social development without feeling self-conscious or different from their peers.

What makes our students truly special is their resilience and determination. Despite the challenges they may face, they constantly inspire us with their unwavering enthusiasm and dedication to learning. By providing them with the necessary resources, we can empower them to reach their full potential and ensure that they receive a truly inclusive education.
