My Project

Covid-19 has impacted my students' ability to learn in a traditional learning environment. Since the pandemic and lack of consistent in-person learning, it is more difficult for them to regulate their behaviors and emotions throughout their day at school. Fidgets, movement opportunities, alternative seating options, music, and opportunities to practice social skills are some of the strategies that have helped my students the most to regulate themselves and be ready and able to learn. I feel it is important to have a variety of options available to students because each student has unique and individualized needs.
