This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are wonderful kids that are eager to be challenged and inspired. They are a very diverse population in a low income area. We have a supportive school community due to the fact we are a Charter school. However, resources are limited as they are at most public schools. To keep these busy minds challenged and motivated, my students will need classroom materials to help them succeed in 2nd grade. I want to grow lifelong learners, Readers and leaders.

My Project

These materials will make a difference in our students' learning by motivating them. The Happy Birthday crowns, stickers, and pencils will make them feel unique on their special day. Every member of our classroom is like family and they all need to feel appreciated. The Lego sets are going to be used for preferred learning time which is an incentive for doing thier homework and Reading logs, as well as behaving in class. They will earn the time to play with the Legos based on thier their progress in class. The scented stickers and pencils are other incentives to help motivate and inspire my awesome 2nd graders to read more and complete thier homework on time. All students need motivating and inspiring supplies that will help them succeed. These tools will help improve the homework completion and promote positive learning and study habits for these awesome 2nd graders.
