Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with a large culturally and linguistically diverse group of amazing learners, which includes TK-2nd grade levels. Our classroom environment is warm, welcoming, and student-friendly. My students are an amazing group of individuals with various abilities. Our classroom is full of students who are ready to learn and put forth great effort.

Teaching students kindness will help them develop social-emotional skills that can help them succeed in math, reading, and science.

The incentives prizes (rubber ducks, stickers, keychains, toy cars, and water bottles) will motivate our students to make good choices to shape their behavior.

The resources will help our students become motivated to treat others with kindness by using the sticker chart to reward them for making good choices and for being kind to their peers. Once they fill their sticker chart, they will earn a prize. Promoting kindness will help students feel a sense of belonging at school, which will improve their motivation and confidence.
