My Project

My students are bright mathematicians who are eager to learn and express their creativity through lots of color. They love using markers and other coloring supplies when completing their favorite, color by numbers, when practicing their fluency facts. Unfortunately, as much as my kids love to color and draw, they equally love leaving the caps off their markers. With that, each day, our supplies are dwindling. Everyday my students come to school full of enthusiasm to experience new learning opportunities, however, as young learners they can often lose stamina when engaging with unfamiliar concepts and ideas throughout the day.

Incentives and basic classroom supplies will help students maintain motivation to learn and ultimately be one step closer to reaching their goals and success each day.

Our school has recently invested in a new math curriculum and digital learning platform to help students meet their individual needs, build on their understanding of new concepts and skills and support their learning goals. My students often need more incentives to complete tasks, especially when they feel defeated. By providing some fun fidgets, mechanical pencils (their favorite) and other sensory toys as an incentive to keep going, students will be more motivated and excited to complete each learning mission and task.
