My Project

We are an art school and our artists are always full of interesting and creative needs. The items in this project are the things students most commonly ask to use and I never seem to have enough of them. We have some wonderful assignments coming up and these materials will be used to create original artwork for our spring art exhibition with the theme of "Los Angeles." Students will be choosing an aspect of the city and expressing their own Los Angeles in an original watercolor painting, oil pastel drawing, or a combination of their own choosing.

This project lets me put artist-quality paint and brushes into the hands of our emerging artists.

Access to good art supplies is the one barrier we must overcome for our students. The basics of drawing and painting are great colors, bushes, pencils, and erasers. The students can do the rest!
