This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I want to create a warm and comfortable art studio space for my students. A space that belongs to them and allows them to connect with the creative side of their minds. New equipment such as the paint carts and plastic caddies will allow my students to be able to have their supplies (paint brushes and pallets) easily accessible and organized to them. Also, adding the aesthetically pleasing décor will give my students a comfortable space to facilitate independent learning. Students need to have the supplies to successfully succeed. Art is overlooked at times, but this allows kids a creative outlet beyond book learning.
