My Project

I am going into my second year of teaching and I am going to be working at an elementary school with a high population of low-income, English-learning families. The students in my K/1 combo class are deserving of high-quality materials and I want to be able to give them those. These grades are where students learn the foundation of school and I want to teach them that no matter what, they deserve the best.

My goal is for all students to enter the classroom not just to learn, but to thrive.

The headphones included on this list are for students to be able to take part in engaging math, ELA, and SEL activities where they can be truly immersed while they are participating. The watercolor paints included on this list are so that when doing art projects, students have access to the materials they need to make something beautiful. The list also includes various learning activities (such as the Alphabet locks) and other materials such as quality paper and books.

Students deserve to have a safe place in their lives where they can enter their own little world. I strive to make my classroom that place for them.
