Help me give my students a variety of books including Shark vs. Train and Come on Rain. We have an amazing book club where we can read and discuss these titles.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help my students continue their extracurricular book club. We have about 50 students who participate in a club where we read the books together and discuss them. Kind of like the popular book clubs but for kids.
Our kids love to read!
But unfortunately, they are growing up in an area of poverty, where they simply do not have books at home. This gives us a great opportunity to help them learn about new concepts and vocabulary. For many of our students, this is also their first time learning how to read in English, so it bolsters those skills they are working on in class.
We have young students who beg to be in this program. Please help us make this book club a reality for them. Thank you!
