My Students

My school is filled with children who express a love for learning and who are full of life and energy. I teach in an ICT setting a group of amazing students who work hard each day to reach their fullest potential. Our students truly feel they are part of a family in which everyone feels accepted and individuality is encouraged. I am constantly trying to find meaningful ways to push them and help them become better learners. My children love their neighborhood school because it creates a sense of community. We try to make our learning as engaging as possible through hands-on, interactive activities to keep them as involved as possible.

My Project

We need two upgraded laptops to provide quality instruction and lessons that are both visually engaging and effective. These Macbook Pro's will work better with our current Smartboard in the classroom, as well as our printer. Our laptops right now are slow and glitchy. As we are teaching they are constantly freezing or randomly shutting down. It becomes time-consuming to get the laptop back running once our lessons have already started. We would love to be able to create games and interactive powerpoint/google slide lessons with laptops that are running smoothly. These laptops would also be used to conduct remote parent/teacher(s) conferences, as well as conferences during Parent Engagement time. Oftentimes our laptop freezes or glitches during virtual meetings, and this can be very frustrating when we are trying to stay within a certain timeframe. New Macbook Pro's will help me create engaging lessons and games to help our students reach their fullest potential on so many new levels.
