This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are halfway through the year, and it has been a busy and exciting one so far! I teach at a Title 1 school, where almost all of my students come from low-income families, and most students come unprepared for school because they cannot afford to buy basic school supplies. They don't always have the basic classroom supplies needed, and either have to borrow from a friend or use what little supplies we have available in the classroom.

The supplies requested are essential in helping my students be successful in finishing the year.

I would love to have these extra supplies available for them to use at any given time.

Paper, sticky tabs, highlighters, markers, scissors, mechanical pencils, and lead refills are some basic supplies that are needed in our Science/Social Studies classroom.
