My Students

My scholars attend a Title 1 school. Our district is in financial distress leaving our supply closets bare. I am a hands-on teacher who believes differentiated instruction is the key to success. I tell my scholars to "DIG DEEP" everyday. They rise to that challenge daily.

My scholars are an amazing group of kids who understand how our district is struggling to provide even the most basic of supplies.

They enjoy the variety of projects they work on, but we make due with very little supplies. They deserve every opportunity and advantage that prosperous districts offer. They are avid readers and math maniacs. Our project will offer my kids a chance to thrive.

My Project

My scholars often have academic contests, in which they write answers on the 20 white boards we share with another class. We have created many mini books of poetry and math concepts this year and have exhausted our supply of glue and construction paper, which I purchased out of my own pocket. There are many more projects planned in which the art supplies will be utilized. Guided reading will focus on the chapter books and classroom magazines I am requesting. We will organize our new supplies in the baskets requested.

Every child deserve to have the tools needed to thrive.

These basic essentials are simple supplies, but necessary to help with differentiated instruction. My scholars will be one step closer to success if the project is funded.
