This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember the first time you used an iPad? I want to see that same reaction in my students. I have learned through the years that children love to use different tools or media for learning. What better way than to use an iPad in the classroom!

I teach a wonderful group of second graders.

The majority of them are second language learners who come from low-income families. Regardless of their backgrounds and personal experiences, they are happy children who are eager to learn and use technology to enhance their learning.

My Project

I am asking for one iPad for my students. There are so many reasons to have an iPad in the class. An iPad can bring so much to the classroom. We can have information at our fingertips. We can also use education apps for reading and math. My students will be able to play educational games, do research, present their work, and read books. I will be able to use the iPad to assess them with the Dibels Reading Test. Finally, I will make sure my students know how to use an iPad so they will be prepared to take the state test.

Please help me provide an iPad for my classroom.

It is the way of the future. Technology is very important and helps motivate students to learn, create, and explore. Please help me bring technology to my class. Your generosity will help change the way my students learn.
