Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students will be attending school for the first time. As result, they are in much need of rugs so that they can play with educational materials on the floor and learning centers. The funding of this project will give my students the opportunity to play on rugs instead of the bare floor.

The students in my class are 4yrs old, the first time in school, and most of them are second language learners.

They are very eager to learn and absorb a lot of information. They are very lovable and adapt to all kinds of situations. The focus of this class is to develop oral language. My wish is to help them get ready for Kindergarten both socially and academically.

My Project

My classroom has a tiled floor which make it difficult for my students to play on the floor. The rugs will be used in the drama center and the library center making these areas more comfortable and interesting. The area rugs will make it possible for the students to interact and play with other students. This will help the students develop socially, emotionally and intellectually while making the classroom visually appealing. At these age group, preschoolers, the best way to learn is hands on and personal interactions with each other.
