My Students

Our school is teaching The Beauty and Joy of Computing curriculum for AP Computer Science Principles this coming school year. I want to ensure that my classroom is prepared for presentation and collaboration purposes.

Several of my students don't have access to the internet or an actual personal computer at home.

The high school has a student population of just over 1000, many of whom are of low-socioeconomic status. Luckily, we received 30 computers to learn programming and CS as part of an NSF grant.

My Project

My students need presenter clickers and a wireless keyboard to present their projects to their classmates. The clicker and keyboard will go a long way towards helping my students present their coding projects to others and be able to type out code while walking around the room. Most presenters stand in front of the classroom when presenting.

I want my students to be have mobility when presenting slides or helping others code.

Students will be free to present current events summaries using the presenter and I believe it will inspire them to care more about learning and teaching others about what is going on in the world of computer science. Fridays will become our technology "current events" day!
