This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

We are a Visual art High School desperately in need of a graphic design program. I am the art teacher for grades 9 through 12.

I teach high school students in a school where the arts are our theme. I am the only art teacher and have limited supplies. My students express great interest in the visual arts, especially graphic design. We have limited access to computers and not enough with graphic design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark) to create a strong course in graphic design. I have between 25 to 30 students in a class and we are craving to work with graphic design.

We need graphic design software (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator). Hopefully we can find a way to access more computers to use these programs. Design is a requirement in the Blueprints of the Arts and we are currently unable to teach students graphic design and prepare them for careers in such a field.

Any generous donation would be greatly appreciated by myself and my students. I am asked constantly from them when we will get to do any computer graphics, and it breaks my heart to be unable to grant this request. Your help will make it possible for them to gain the knowledge and experience necessary for college and a career in graphic design.
