Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

English is not my students' first language. They also do not speak English at home. Students whose first language is not English need many opportunities to improve their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. These students are placed in a Second English Immersion Program where they practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking. They need a motivating and welcoming environment with appropriate materials that will help them learn the target language through reading, writing, and listening as well as practicing new sounds in the target language.

My students come from low income homes.

They do not have the means to purchase school supplies for classroom work. Materials such as pencils, notebooks, copy paper, folders, and a phonics book will greatly help students practice English on a daily basis. The goal is for my students to acquire and learn English, a tool that will help them improve their quality of life. They will have more opportunities to attend a university or get a better job in the future.

My students deserve the best education possible. I am here to assist them. You can also help them. With your donation, they will feel they are important and they will know that someone cares and wants to see them succeed in their future endeavors. Thank you for your donations!
