My Project

Many of our students have specials needs when it comes to their handwriting. Over time, they have developed bad habits which is causing them to not form letters correctly when writing. I believe with some practice and repetition, we can help our students unlearn these habits and I can teach them to form the letters properly, which will allow writing to be more enjoyable for them and legible for others to read.

Legible handwriting is essential!

Over the past ten years, there has been such an increase in the use of technology that children are not using their hands in ways that prepares them for writing. Students are coming to school with significant fine motor needs. This in turn is causing them to form letters and numbers incorrectly. My goal with these notebooks is to help reverse the incorrect letter formation that students have develop and to help develop fine motor skills that will improve their overall handwriting.

The remaining products in this project will help me to develop various center activities that will last for years to come. and allow me to have a fun area to sit while teaching students every day.
